Ecological Performance

Managing risks to human health and to ecological dynamics is central to urban water engineering. Measuring changes to ecosystems (e.g. water quality, vegetation, fisheries) is therefore fundamental to evaluating the success of engineering programs.

Multi-dimensional assessments

Stormwater Issue Indicators (Stormwater Centre)
To access the indicator area, click this link then click 'Monitor/Assess', then 'Indicator Profile Sheets'.
This page provides a range of indicators to frame potential stormwater issues. They are divided into water quality, physical/hydrologic, biological, social, program and site indicators. Fact sheets are available on the indicators which provide excellent background information as well as discussions of applicability and how they could be implemented.
