A Riparian Categorisation Strategy for Urban Drainage Channels in the Gold Coast City LGA
Council revisited how it was spending money to maintain its extensive network of open drainage channels. A 'whole of network' approach was taken - which saw council develop a simple categorisation system to help it review its decision making for drainage assets across the LGA. Natural channels with intact riparian vegetation were included in this categorisation system.
